Classic Décor Chocolate Cake (for Valentine’s 2025)

3 | 4-layer sponge cake |
4 | Large, medium, and small open star piping tips |
5 | Medium or small curved piping tip (or leaf tip) |
DIRECTIONS
1 | Base Layering: Spread Rich’n Smooth Chocolate between the layers and ice the entire cake. |

2 | Top Pattern: - Use a large curved or leaf tip to pipe a pleated border by moving the piping bag back and forth to create fluid pleats. - In the middle of the top, use a medium open star tip to pipe a shell border. |
3 | Middle Pattern: - Near the top edge, use a large open star tip to pipe large shell patterns, leaving gaps between them. - Pipe a curved rope border at a 45° angle with a small open star tip, applying even pressure for a rolling motion. - Use a small curved or leaf tip to add a pleated pattern along the curve. |
4 | Bottom Pattern: - At the bottom edge of the cake, use a large open star tip to pipe a shell border. - Pipe a small shell border above and below the large shell border using a small open star tip. |
