Easter Garden Basket Cake

  1. • How to Pipe a Basket-Weave Pattern •
  2. Pipe a straight vertical line along the surface you want to cover.
  3. Pipe evenly spaced horizontal lines across the vertical line, making each line slightly more than twice the width of your piping tip.
  4. Pipe another vertical line, overlapping the ends of the horizontal lines.
  5. Repeat the process, alternating horizontal and vertical lines to create the woven effect. The closer the vertical lines, the tighter the weave.
  6. Continue until the entire surface is covered.
  7. Use the same basket-weave tip to pipe the border.
  8. • Garden Decoration •
  9. Fill a piping bag with green whipped cream and use a grass tip. Hold the bag straight up, squeeze, then pull away. For a more natural look, slightly tilt the tip to the left or right. Clean the tip as needed.
  10. Decorate with chocolate Easter eggs.
